Rice Pilaf

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rice
  • 3 cups hot water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons orzo pasta
  • Salt to taste

  • Instructions:
    • 1- Rinse the rice and soak in warm water for 5 minutes, then drain.
    • 2- In a pot, heat butter and olive oil, sauté the orzo pasta until golden.
    • 3- Add the drained rice and sauté for about 3 minutes.
    • 4- Add hot water and salt, cover the pot, and cook over medium heat until the rice is tender and has absorbed the water. Let the pilaf rest for 15-20 minutes before serving.
