Bulgur Pilaf

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 2 garlic cloves (grated)
  • 2 green peppers (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon pepper paste
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 4 cups bulgur
  • 2 tomatoes (peeled, grated)
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried mint
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • Instructions:
    • 1- Heat the butter and olive oil in a pot, sauté the onion until golden.
    • 2- Add the grated garlic and chopped green peppers, sauté for a few more minutes.
    • 3- Stir in the tomato and pepper pastes, then add the bulgur, spices, and grated tomatoes.
    • 4- Pour in the water, cover, and cook until the bulgur absorbs the water.
    • 5- Turn off the heat and let the pilaf rest before serving.
